Gain Critical Business Skills in Just Four Months

Starting a business is a big investment. It's an investment of your time, your efforts, and your money too. So with this much invested, you don't want to skimp on the preparation. Having a solid business plan and critical business knowledge is key to creating a profitable business. But earning a business degree may be more than you need and a crash-course in business planning is won't suffice. What you need is the Small Business Specialist program for entrepreneurs.

Our Small Business Specialist program provides you with business skills and knowledge in four critical areas: advertising, customer service, applied accounting, and small business management. All of the course content is applied, which means you will focus on learning skills, not theory, that directly apply to your business. While we won't turn you into an advertising executive or full-fledged accountant - you'll benefit by becoming a well rounded business person with the basic skills needed to guide your company toward success.

Best of all, our Accelerated Technical Certificate Small Business program can be completed in just five months. And it is perfect for working adults since classes meet just two evenings per week at Kent Campus along with online coursework.

Key Features

  • Four sequential college credit courses: Introduction to Business, Advertising, Applied Accounting (which includes an introduction to Quick Books), and Small Business Management.

  • Combination of on-campus and online instruction so sometimes you'll be learning from home or office on your computer, and sometimes you will be interacting with your instructor and other entrepreneurs in the classroom.

  • The program is completed in just five months.

  • The end product: Your Own Business Plan.
