In July 2004 the Florida Security Institute (FSI) was established to integrate knowledge and skills of the public first response sector to the private sector in Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD) and terrorism incident response protocols regarding Chemical, Biological, Radiological (CBR) and Explosive Agents Materials (EAM). As a part of that effort, FSI developed and offers WMD and Conventional Improvised Explosive Devices (IED) training seminars.
FSI has developed and currently offers a series of new Port and Maritime Security courses in various areas of maritime security to address specific security needs of the community in accordance with Federal, International, and professional guidelines.
