The following courses are offered to provide security services and are
certified by the Federal Maritime Administration:

New! Combined MS-205/MS-220/MS-230, FSO/VSO/CSO
This 3-day course provides the knowledge for those individuals who may be designated to perform the duties / responsibilities of a Facility Security Officer, Vessel Security Officer, and Company Security Officer.

 

MS-205, Facility Security Officer
This 3-day course provides the knowledge for those individuals who may be designated to perform the duties and responsibilities of a Facility Security Officer.

MS-210, Maritime Security for Facility Personnel with Specific Security Duties
This 2-day course provides the maritime security knowledge required for facility personnel who are assigned specific security duties in connection with a facility security plan.

MS-215, Maritime Security Awareness
This 4-hour course establishes the knowledge required for all personnel who are not assigned specific security duties but are involved in the work of ports, facilities, and vessels.

MS-220, Vessel Security Officer
This 2-day course is aimed at those personnel who may be designated to perform the duties of a Vessel Security Officer, the security of a vessel, and implementing and maintaining a Vessel Security Plan.

MS-225, Maritime Security for Vessel Personnel with Specific Security Duties
This 1-day course offers the knowledge required for vessel personnel who are assigned specific security duties in connection with a Vessel Security Plan.

MS-230, Company Security Officer
This 3-day course provides the knowledge for those individuals who may be designated to perform the duties and responsibilities of a Company Security Officer.

MS-235, Maritime Security for Military, First Responder, and Law Enforcement Personnel
This 3-day course provides the knowledge required for military, first responder, and law enforcement personnel without prior maritime background to conduct their duties aboard vessels, in facilities, and elsewhere in the marine environment.

 

PS-11, Maritime Security (MARSEC) Briefing
This 5-hour discussion includes an overview on terrorism threats and solutions; target hardening; detection of surveillance; handling bomb threats; emergency notification and procedures; access and control; suspicious items protocol; and bomb search organization. The briefing is designed for corporation and commercial personnel. There are no prerequisites.

PS-15, Port Security Boat Operator Course
This 5-day course teaches small boat operation in the port security environment for law enforcement and private maritime security personnel. The course includes Rules of the Road, FSI's Port Security Boat Operator text, and hands-on underway training.

NR-1, 16-Hour Rules of the Road Course
This U.S. Coast Guard certified 2-day course is designed to meet the education and training needs of everyone who operates a vessel of any size. The course is targeted toward maritime law enforcement officers, Merchant Marine Officers, private waterborne security officers, and other boaters.

ODP/AWR-1, Weapons of Mass Destruction
6-hour exportable course

ODP/AWR-2, Improvised Explosive Devices
4-hour exportable course

ODP/AWR-3, Prevention and Response to Terrorist Bombing Incidents
4-hour exportable course

ODP/AWR-4, Prevention and Response to Suicide Bombing
4-hour exportable course
