Response and Recovery for Natural and Manmade Disasters

Florida Community College has received a grant from the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) to provide response and recovery training to local small businesses.

This free, four-hour seminar is designed to provide participants with strategies for preparing for natural and manmade disasters and techniques for recovering and rebuilding in the aftermath.

Natural disaster training addresses the following incidents:

  • Hurricanes
  • Tornados
  • Flooding
  • Lightning
  • Earthquakes (and Tsunami)
  • Hazardous Material Spills

Manmade disaster training addresses "CBRNE" incidents:

  • Chemical
  • Biological
  • Radiological
  • Nuclear
  • Explosive

Each participant will receive extensive materials including preparedness guides from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and the Federal Emergency Management Association (FEMA).

Scheduling

This seminar is presented on an on-demand basis for businesses with 250 or fewer employees, and can be held at your site or at the Urban Resource Center. Daytime, evening or weekend sessions can be arranged to fit your schedule, and there’s no minimum number of participants required.
